A very recent stat put forth by Experian Hitwise – the leading online competitive intelligence analyst, about a comparison analysis of most searched or most visited websites in 2009 vs 2010. The analysis indicated that the most searched term of 2010 was “Facebook”, followed by Youtube, Craigslist and MySpace…

Although youtube, craiglist and myspace are following Facebook, but their positions cannot be considered in the chronological order that they have been mentioned here. There had been three different variation of Facebook in between. Experian’s analysis shows that “facebook login” happened to be the second most searched term in the year 2010. this gives a clear indication about the typical surfers’ behaviors… most surfers searched for “Facebook login instead of directly dropping by the site. The drastic rise of the search term “Facebook login” from the ninth position in the year 2099 to the second position in the year 2010 indicates that Facebook users look for the simplest and quickest way to log on to their Facebook account. This gives another indication, which is most users try to make fullest use of Search Engines.
